John Manning

After seven years in exile John Manning makes a welcome return to professional radio.

John a veteran of the radio industry for over 20 years has had, to say the least, a

colourful and

varied career with a string of television, stage and radio appearances to his name.

He was also the only presenter from independent radio in Scotland to be invited to

Buckingham palace to meet the Queen when she held a Champagne reception to celebrate

the

British broadcasting Industry as part of her jubilee year.

John also has a host of Celebrity friends including David Soul , Shakin Stevens and

No stranger to the Lanarkshire area John also known for his outrageous suits, has

been involved

with many events locally including the major Christmas switch ons.

Looking back he recalls what he feels was the demise of not only local but

personality driven radio in Scotland !

Like many talented and creative presenters, he felt that sadly ?radio was losing its

identity and decided

it was time to pack away the record collection and hang up his headphones and

concentrate on more

challenging projects.

John said " I am delighted and honoured to be part of the l107 team , Radio for me

once again is exiting !
